| Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Friday attended the funeral of Sarabjit Singh, the Indian prisoner who died at a hospital in Pakistan after he was brutally attacked by a group of inmates in jail. Rahul Gandhi paid floral tributes to Sarabjit at the cremation ground in his Punjab hometown of Bhikhiwind and also had interacted with the family members. A sea of people has gathered at the cremation ground to have a last glimpse of their hero. Draped in the Tricolour, his body was brought to the cremation ground where his last rites will be performed shortly. The 49-year-old Indian prisoner died in a Pakistan hospital yesterday after being brutally attacked in a Lahore jail last week. |
